With several years of executive leadership in the pet and animal welfare sector, Brett Yates has focused his career on building scalable, data informed programs and revenue generating systems that strengthen organizations, support local governments, protect pets, and help fund lifesaving work.
Brett brings extensive experience in revenue generation, business development, and strategic partnerships, including his leadership with DocuPet and Michelson Found Animals, where he developed relationships and programs that connected organizations across the pet and animal welfare ecosystem. His work with entrepreneurs and startup companies has enabled him to build a broad network throughout the industry, while his involvement in scientific research and the development of national programs addressing complex social systems has provided opportunities to collaborate with many of the field’s leading thinkers and innovators.
Advocacy has also been a central part of Brett’s career. He has worked closely with elected officials, government leaders, industry organizations, and nonprofit partners to advance legislative and policy initiatives that improve outcomes for animals and the communities that care for them. He is particularly passionate about bringing together business, government, philanthropy, and animal welfare organizations to create sustainable solutions to longstanding challenges.
