Food Bank for Pet Families in Need is a major component of St. Hubert’s community outreach efforts. Goods are collected at our Madison campus and routinely distributed by our volunteers. A special acknowledgment goes to M&T Bank for their corporate sponsorship of this ongoing
Arriving at 11:30 am on Friday Sept. 15, 2017, the recipients were already waiting in the parking lot of the Salvation Army. The group was very anxious and appreciative to receive dog food and cat food for their pets. Approximately 330 dog meals, 523 cat meals, 300 lbs. of cat litter, 20 treats and 8 dog beds were gifted to families. The distribution lasted about 2½ hours and also helped more than twelve families who had multiple pets. One woman, who noted that M&T Bank was the sponsor, inquired about the organization and requested more information about the bank program.
“When struggling financially, pet parents often face the impossible decision of giving up their animals due to lack of resources. We are proud to help St. Hubert’s offer critical assistance to keep pets with their families.” - Vincent Moretti, Vice President, Senior Relationship Manager, M&T Bank and Board Member at St. Hubert’s.
