Obedience training may be the most valuable gift you can ever give your canine companion.  Proper training will enable your dog to become a well-behaved family member, participating in daily activities both at home and in public.  Training also strengthens the special bond you share with your "best friend."

Established in 1983, St. Hubert's acclaimed school offers one of the most comprehensive and respected dog training and behavior counseling programs in the nation.

    Classes are conducted in St. Hubert's 7,000-square-foot training school located in downtown Madison, New Jersey.  Fully air-conditioned for year-round comfort, our school features three large, fully matted and cushioned training rings.  Outdoor classes are offered seasonally in a spacious yet secure area at St. Hubert's animal shelter on Woodland Avenue.  A limited number of puppy and basic classes are held at The Puppy Patch LLC in Clinton.

    Through humane methods such as reward-based training, fair leadership and simple kindness, more than 4,000 canine diplomas are awarded annually. 

    Our classes are divided into three categories; General Pet Training, Specialty Pet Training and Sports Training.  Below is a general list of classes.  Descriptions of these classes and the various levels can be found on the registration page.

    Effective October 1, 2006, puppy and  basic classes will also be held at The Puppy Patch LLC, 1481 Highway 22 East, Clinton, NJ.

    General Pet Training Classes:

  • Puppy Kindergarten - For puppies 8 wks - 4 mos

  • Petite Puppies - For small & toy breeds from 8-20 weeks
  • Basic Training - For Petite Puppies and our Kindergarten Puppy Grads Only
  • Basic Training - For dogs 5 mos and older
  • Basic Training for Small Dogs - (Petite Pals) less than 30 lbs.
  • Advanced Training - Off Leash Wonders
  • Around Town (outdoor training)
  • Great Outdoors (outdoor training)

        Specialty Pet Training:
