The NJ couple who had nearly 300 small dogs living in their home is now facing 552 counts of animal cruelty. Charlene & Joseph Handrik, of Howell Township, NJ, were charged Friday, June 17 by the Monmouth County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals with 276 counts of animal cruelty by providing inhumane living conditions & 276 counts for failing to provide their dogs with proper veterinary care. Howell's Animal Control office also delivered additional summonses, for failure to have dog licenses & failure to give rabies shots. Click here to learn more and make a donation towards the dogs' care.
