Every team needs a Mascot and ours is available for adoption!  Meet Yvie – at 4 years old she is old enough to have good manners and young enough to be silly!  She loves children and has been waiting patiently for a family to call her own again.

Please sponsor Yvie.  She will be running on behalf of all the homeless dogs and cats at St. Hubert’s waiting to be loved again.

Cheer her on at beautiful Loantaka Park on October 13, 2012 at 9:30am.  We hope to see you there!

Schedule of Events:

8:00AM - Parking Lot Opens: Parking will be located across the street from the starting line at Atlantic Health Systems at 475 South Street.  Follow posted signs.

8:00AM - Check-In Opens:  Check-In wil be across the street from parking at the Gazebo at the South Street entrance to Loantaka Park.  You can take your assigned number, goody bag, and sign the waiver at this time.  IF YOU ARE RUNNING/WALKING WITH YOUR DOG, YOU MAY BE ASKED TO PROVIDE PROOF OF RABIES VACCINATION.

9:30AM - 5K-9 Run & Walk:  A scored race for runners and walkers with or without a dog through the streets and trails of Loantaka Park in Morris Township.  Runner will be first at the starting line.

10:30AM - Prizes:  5K-9 Run & Walk awards for top fundraisers, male/female human categories, small and large dogs, and random prizes!

Hounds and Harriers Start

Rules:
Please be a responsible dog owner. 
* All dogs must be social with other dogs, be current on standard vaccinations and be licensed. You must be able to produce proof of these on race day upon request.
* One dog per person, 
on a leash at all times, no longer than 6' and no retractable/flexi leashes.
* Poop bags will be provided. You are responsible for picking up after your dog if he/she decides to go in the staging area, on the park trails, or in the residential section of the course.  Garbage receptacles will be placed at least every 1/2 mile for you to deposit your used bag. We recommend you exercise your dog before the run.
* Puppies must be at least 6 months old to participate in the run. We will not allow female dogs in any stage of heat to attend.
* The race director and race veterinarian reserve the right to refuse entry or remove a dog from the course if it might prove hazardous to others or whose physical condition appears to be in jeopardy before or during the event.
* The race director reserves the right to change the race to a fun run for dogs' safety if the temperature is excessively warm.
* No strollers, baby joggers, headphones, wheelchairs, or dog carriers on the course.
